I can’t believe I let myself get two weeks behind!  Well, not really but when Friday rolled around and I had two images I still hadn’t shot, I was a little ticked off with myself.

I’m over it now.

Mostly because I pulled through and I am glad. I don’t want to quit my 52 wk’er.

Anyways, here are two.

I have a plate full of things to do today so I can’t write much about “time” right now except that at this moment, I have none.

Good thing Jill evens me out some.  This weeks theme was FOOD.  I just happened to have some of Pete’s favorite chocolates and thought it was a great excuse to get into them myself

When I saw Jills blueberries, I felt a little guilty about my food choice … lol

I knew the minute we picked old that I wanted to do my old camera.  Probably because it really hasn’t done anything useful in my home since the day I bought it so this seemed a great time to put it to work.  I actually had big plans of an office space, all gray walls, white trim and dark wood flooring with white Ikea desk furniture.  (yes, that detailed)  I’m still going to make it happen just not as soon as I would like.

Anyways, my plan was to collect some old cameras to decorate the top of my desk area in my office.  A girl can dream

Our theme was Old.

Oh my.  My lack of current creativity shines so bright in this weeks theme.

The theme this week was Wet/Water.  I had high hopes when I started out this week.  Actually, what happened was that I wanted to try out my new lens.  I’m willing to place a bet that my new lens is going to be my GO TO lens of 2011.  You heard it here.  Anyways, I bought the 50mm f1.4 from a friend and I love it!!!!  Love doesn’t describe my affection for this lens.

So Luke had gone out to play in the snow and when he came up on the deck he started washing my patio door with snow.  Which turned to water and started dripping so I whipped out my camera and started to take pictures.  None turned out.  NONE.

And since my deadline was quickly approaching, I decided to just go with it.  So if you’re wondering what is wet/water in my picture, its his hat.  There, I said it.  There are little tiny drips of water on his hat.

SOOO, I’ve had quite a few people email me their interest in joining me in my themes but I’m still waiting for PICTURES!

We decided to do our first theme as ICE because we each already had a recent image on our computers and we wanted to get the party started.  SO yes, we cheated. I am not sure if Jill cheated but I sure did.  This week only though, not again.

That’s my little man taking the spill on the ice.  My whole world lately seems to revolve around hockey practices, hockey games, hockey equipment . . . so ice seemed very fitting and of COURSE I had a lot of images on my computer

So ice it is.

I KNOW, RIGHT!!!!!  You all must be thinking, this girl is insane.  She said she was going to start a project just a few weeks ago and its already fallen to the wayside.  Well, let me tell you its been a hectic couple of weeks.  I won’t get into the details here, yet, because I’m still playing the dreadful ever so stressful waiting game …. but no matter what happens, onward and upward right?

I have teamed up with the ever popular, OH SO talented Jill Hardy of Jill Hardy Photography in Summerside PEI on this project and I just KNOW without a doubt that she will keep me motivated and on track with this new fun project.

We have started a 52 week project.  Each week will have a theme and each week we will take that theme and photograph our interpretation of the theme and post them as a side by side.

The goal, is to expand our creativity over the course of the year.  That is my goal anyways.

So if you are like me and enjoy doing things like this I encourage you to join in with us!

Each week I will post our theme and our joint images.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if any one of my friends, clients, fellow camera enthusiasts would join in!
